Kids Shop…Kids Rock!

National Sports Day in Japan~another national holiday

Canadian’s celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday while Japan celebrated Sports Day, a national holiday on the second Monday in October. This holiday was first observed in 1966 to mark the opening day of the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. To commemorate the first ever Olympic games to take place in Asia, October 10 was made a national holiday. …
